 Tabbed browsing - just like you used to in Opera, Firefox and IE7 (well, it's very useful, right?)

 Integrated RSS reader saves your feeds into a database and lets you read your favorite news more comfortably(I like RSS, and it's going to get better and better...)
 Customizable RSS viewer - edit a simple HTML template and enjoy reading news your way (little work for you too...)
 Full fledged Download manager built right into your browser (well, to be honest, it needs to be improved a bit, but basically it works ;-)
 Listen to your favorite Radio station at the same time you're browsing the web, or simply pick one of the few hundred stations allready built into the software (if that doesn't sounds like fun, man, I don't know...)
 Man, I've got tired enumerating all this stuff, if you've read this far, you deserve some kind of medal or something like that...
Hydra is much more than just another IE shell - it is a perfect companion for your favorite browser, and you can even have fun using it. I hope you'll enjoy using it at least as much as I had creating it.
Disclaimer: Hydra is here because I got tired of IE and Firefox and felt that there's something missing. At one point in time, there was so much movement on the web that it was hard even for the pros to find they're way through. That's why I decided to make a completely new browser (and it was fun, and now when it's alive on the web it's even more fun, and more than that...)
Hydra sports a completely new look, following the Office 2007 look & feel, and though it might be a bit awkward in the beginning, you'll be hooked on it soon enough, so take good care...
And remember to have fun and be good to each other, because sooner or later you'll be sorry you didn't!

As you probably know already, Hydra is more than a browser- it's a charity project as well. Hydra is - in fact - Robin Hood of software world - taking from the rich companies and giving to those who need it the most - children.
There are two main aspects of Hydra Aid , first, there is a donate-per-download principle, where each new Hydra install brings 0.10 US$ to charities. Once Hydra reaches a million downloads, 100,000.00 US$ is donated, and the cycle starts again. Second is the profit share, where 50% of all of the remaining profits is being donated to charities. First can be the reason to download and try Hydra, and second can be a reason to continue using it, as it is not only beautiful, but also very interesting and useful piece of software.
How can you contribute to the project? You can download and install Hydra, it costs nothing... You can continue to use Hydra, and whenever you make a purchase using our referal links, a part of your purchase goes to charity (see Hydra Business Model for further explanation). You can also help design a logo for Hydra Aid project, or you can actively contribute by bringing more users to Hydra Aid. If you're an active contributor to Hydra, and you think it's a good and positive thing, please do take a minute of your time and write your name in the Tree of Life . If you think that you - as an individual - cannot do much, you're wrong! If you have at least two friends who use the Internet and are more or less tech savvy, you can try to persuade them to give Hydra a chance, and even more - you can try to persuade them to bring their two friends as well - by the time the chain reaches 20th level, there will be over million Hydra Aid contributors (actualy, this looks a lot like those much hated chains of fortune, which is very unfortunate thing - please do not spam anyone, as there's nothing more damaging to the image of the product, and please don't make people download Hydra only because of charity aspect - in a long term that would be fatal for the project...).

Once we reach the point we're able to help, we will choose the donation candidates amongst the ones in our forum (rather than donating the money to charities, who are spending most of it on the administration anyway, we'll give it directly to those who need it - that way you will be able to see directly the results of your support for Hydra). We may not be able to help everyone, but we'll try to help as many as we can. We don't care about the race, religion or nationality of the child - every child and every life is equaly priceless. Hydra is a web browser, intended to be a good companion to your primary browser. Hydra is loaded with features built right into the software, such as a translator (using three services publicly available - Google, Babelfish and Tranexp), autologger, form filler (sort off...), RSS reader, radio stations chooser, rich sidebar, power search and so on.
